Building investigation · Scope agreed individually
Floor Moisture & Wall–Floor Junctions
Damp floor finishes, skirtings, screed concerns and suspected floor moisture pathways.
Discuss your concernThe problem
Floor coverings feel damp, skirtings become stained or moisture seems to appear where the floor meets the wall.
What an investigation could involve
Inspect accessible finishes and junctions, review available floor build-up information and consider leaks, existing drainage, indoor conditions and suitable comparative screening measurements.
What you could receive
A photographic record of the affected area, observed evidence, possible explanations and any recommended targeted testing or repair options.
Scope and limitations: This initial investigation cannot prove a concealed damp-proof membrane has failed or certify screed as ready to receive floor coverings. Formal floor moisture testing is separately scoped where appropriate. An appropriate scope, necessary competence, insurance, timing and survey conditions must be established before any paid investigation.
